My head isn’t usually turned by the famous labels (to the point of inverted snobbery), but these fairly made my heart race. Although that may have been the price….
I knew it. This confirms all the deepest fears of a salad dodger….
then along came a 1970’s Italian homage…..
This is a page from the Codex Seraphinianus, written in the late 70’s. The author Luigi Serafini, is still alive and kicking and teaching graphic design in Italy. It can’t be bought for under £100 and he describes the process of writing it as being like automatic writing, where scribes are led by an unknown influence. It’s weird, I love it. Oh, and it drives people CRAZY. (or enhances their natural crazy, I suspect). For more rational passion, delve into this…
***UPDATE*** - I’ve treated myself to a copy of this! So exciting!
